LVTC & High-Flying School Held “Experience a Flight” Scientific Knowledge Propagation Activity

News from News Network (Written by Yang Li from LVTC & High-Flying School, photography by Liao Zefei from Aviation Service Major) In the afternoon of May 11, 2018, LVTC & High-Flying School held an “Experience a Flight” Scientific Knowledge Propagation Activity, in which 260 students and teachers from Wenhua campus, Wantang Education Group, a special group of passengers and also the first experience group experiencing the activities in the 2018 vocational education activity week, took the “Flight LZ2015” to the vocational education activity “experiencing a flight”.

The vocational experience activity combined the training equipment that the practical training base of LVTC & High-Flying School owns and the practical training features of aviation major, and was specially designed for primary school students.  

In the dress-up training room, students from aviation service major taught the passengers how to tie a silk scarf and had a contest to tie a scarf and wear a tie. Their accurate explanations, standard demonstrations and friendly interactions with the passengers made the latter happy and satisfied and give thumbs up

In the manner-training room, two groups of crew members who respectively obtained special award and the first prize in the High-Flying Cup aviation service vocational skills competition held by the school in 2017 showed their award-winning performances, and told passengers how to behave in an appropriate manner, instructing passengers on how to stand, squat and show places in a professional manner.

The highlight of the activity was to visit the flight cabin simulators, which included part of first-class cabin and economy class cabin and the front-door section, kitchen and bathroom of Boeing 737-800, and the back-door section of Airbus A320. All the facilities are modeled at a proportion of 1:1 as that of the real ones. After passengers got the boarding pass and boarded the airplane, all the attendants on the airplane performed a whole set of aircraft service including welcoming at hatch, meal distribution and delivery and safety knowledge explanations; besides that, they also arranged a safety knowledge contest by combination with the requirements of scientific knowledge propagation activity.

The experience activity offered the students at LVTC & High-Flying School an opportunity to practice, turn what they have learned in class into practical skills, train students to react flexibly to various demands from different passengers, have practice in passenger cabin and other professional skill. This activity represented a bold attempt that the school worked to innovate training mechanism. This activity was well organized, wonderfully arranged, and professionally presented, so that participants could enjoy the fun while learning knowledge of etiquette and security when appreciating and learning the beauty. The activity is well recognized by the participating students and teachers.

LVTC & High-Flying School will make public the information about “Experience a Flight” activity in line with the requirements of the Department of Education and Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on relevant work and the vocational experience activity arrangement for 2018 made by LVTC. Primary and secondary school students, students at secondary vocational schools, student parents and the general public are very welcomed to participate in the activity to know relevant knowledge about civil aviation etiquette, security in plane and other professional knowledge, cultivate the career interest and awareness about civil aviation and boost the recognition of civil aviation related jobs by the public.
