News from News Network (Written by Lin Shengcun from College of Automotive Engineering, photos collected by Zeng Zhi from College of Automotive Engineering) Recently, 13 students of Grade 2015 in various majors from the College of Automotive Engineering (CAE) were dispatched by Guangxi Hengbaofeng Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. to it branch company in Cambodia for practical training. Before this event, Wei Yonghao, an excellent graduate of Automotive Engineering Technology and Maintenance Class of CAE Grade 2002, participated in the Chinese Antarctic Scientific Expedition Team; Ouyang Shuo, a student majoring in automotive inspection and repair technology of CAE Grade 2009, took over the warranty service of an overseas subsidiary of a company; and some other graduates have been sent to work in Brazil, Africa, Middle East and other places.

Guangxi Hengbaofeng Agriculture Development Co., Ltd. is headquartered in Nanning, Guangxi (hereinafter referred to as Hengbaofeng) and has three subsidiaries in the Kingdom of Cambodia, specializing in rice cultivation, rice processing, and agricultural and sideline product trade. Under the background of the development strategy of Internationalization, Connotation Upgrading, Simultaneous Construction in Six Aspects, and Establishing Unique and Distinguished High-ranking Prestigious School, Hengbaofeng became a new partner on the "Belt and Road" journey of LVTC in 2017, and the two sides started cooperation in a way that fosters students in accordance with international standards and the requirements of the company. The 13 interns are mainly engaged in equipment maintenance and personnel management. Many of these students have become the backbone of the company. They are working diligently in their respective positions, contributing to the development of the company, and gaining new energy to become a new generation of craftsmen of the country who are going abroad in the future.

In a long-distance interview on June 10, 2018, Su Huanlin, a student majoring in automotive application and maintenance technology from Grade 2015, talked about his internship experience: “This job is very close to life, with some flexibility and exploratory nature. What I am doing has a certain relevance to what I have learned, and I believe that through hard work and practice, our skill level and management level will certainly be improved.” He Zhisong, a classmate of Su Huanlin, spoke with emotion: “ The Cambodian people are honest and the locals are very enthusiastic and good at singing and dancing. They are very satisfied with their lives and live very happy every day."

CAE has been placing great emphasis on training overseas talents. Since 2007, CAE has cooperated with Guangxi Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd., a world famous company, and has conducted five training sessions for overseas commissioners of Liugong. After passing the training, the students are sent to Turkey, Africa, Vietnam and other countries to work as after-sales service specialists according to the needs of Liugong's overseas markets. This time, CAE provided automotive after-sales service-oriented high-skilled talents for Hengbaofeng, which not only solved the company's tight manpower difficulties in overseas equipment maintenance and management, but also achieved a zero breakthrough in overseas internship of CAE Grade 2015 students, shaping an early development prototype of school-enterprise cooperation, sharing, and win-win.
