Good News！Students of LVTC Making Great Achievements in the 10th Challenge Cup of Guangxi College Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest

From News Center (Text and photo by Xu Ming, Yuan Shiming from School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship) On July 27th, 2021, according to the Announcement of the Winner List of the 10th Challenge Cup of Guangxi University Students’ Extracurricular Academic Science and Technology Contest ( Guangxi Youth League，[2021] No. 19), LVTC won two first prizes, three second prizes, and seven third prizes in this contest.

Vice President Wei Lin, Secretary of the Youth League Committee Han Xiao, and Executive Dean of the School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship Xu Ming led a team of instructors and participants to the district finals.

The leaders of LVTC attached great importance to the contest and carried out deployments numerous times. The Youth League Committee, School of Innovation and Entrepreneurship and other relevant functional departments have actively mobilized，carefully planned，organizing more than 20 online and offline contest trainings.

Since the preparations for the contest in March, 2021, the secondary schools have actively organized project cultivation and application. Through the joint efforts of teachers and students, a group of high-quality funds with strong professionalism, wide market demand and good social benefits have emerged as golden seed projects.

After various selections and competitions, a total of 25 projects were recommended to participate in the selection competition in Guangxi.

In the end, the two projects of the School of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, “the Endless Welding —Professional Industrial Robotic Solution Master” and “Power Energy Storage Fitness Machine” were shortlisted in the final field contest of the district competition. The excellent performance in the field competition won the recognition of the judges. And they won the first prize at last.

The Challenge Cup Contest is known as the Olympic event in technological innovation for contemporary college students. It is held every two years. It is a comprehensive student technological innovation event with the largest number of participants, the highest level and the largest influence in China. And it has become an important indicator of the achievements in the cultivation of innovative talents.

Since the establishment of the Challenge Cup Contest, it has always adhered to the tenet of “advocating science, pursuing truth, learning diligently, innovating for excellence and meeting challenges”. Students of LVTC actively participate in academic and scientific practice, improve their own scientific and technological innovation capabilities and have achieved remarkable results.
