Good News: Our Student Won the First Prize in the Vocal Music Performance Competition Under the Guangxi Vocational College Skills Competition.

News from News Center (Text and Photos by Li Da, School of Arts) According to the Notice of the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on the Announcement of Winners of 2022 Guangxi Vocational College Skills Competition issued by the Department of Education, Zhao Yadie (instructor Li Da) from the School of Arts won the first prize and Liang Daoyuan (instructor Lai Shaying) won the third prize in the Vocal Music Performance competition. This is the best result we have achieved in the Vocal Performance Competition, marking a breakthrough in the first prize in the competition.

It was an individual competition. A total of 54 vocal competitors were selected from 18 vocational colleges in the region, including Guangxi Arts University and Guilin Normal College. The competition was divided into professional skills demonstration and professional development ability inspection, including two rounds. A professional skill demonstration was conducted in the first round of competition, including vocal singing and sight-singing of new scores; a professional development ability inspection was conducted in the second round, including chorus rehearsal and answering at site. This regional competition was of high standard and difficulty. Excellent competitors from vocational colleges in the region competed on the same stage. This excellent achievement resulted from the great attention of college leaders, the all-round guidance of the professional teaching team and the hard training of students. The music teaching team set up a competitor team in advance and organized intensive training. Finally, with their excellent professional skills, the team members carried forward the spirit of struggling, and completed the competitions orderly, which laid a solid foundation for the excellent result.

The winning of this competition fully demonstrated the vocational skills level of LVTC students, and showcased the course of LVTC to cultivate high-quality skilled talents, embodying LVTC’s cultivating system of “promoting teaching via competition, and triggering studying via competition”.
