Reaching of a Cooperation Intention to Build Luban Workshop by LVTC with Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. and Jakarta State Polytechnic in Indonesia

From News Center (Text by Zuo Yingzhi, Office of International Exchange, Photo by Wei Linhua, Office of International Exchange) In order to support the service upgrading of Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd. in Indonesia, LVTC, recommended by the Cultural Counselor of the Indonesian Embassy in China, held an online meeting with four higher vocational institutions in Indonesia in mid-May to promote the project of selecting a site in Indonesia to build "LiuGong-LVTC Global Customer Experience Center in Indonesia" and "LiuGong-LVTC International Craftsman College of Indonesia". After the meeting, LiuGong's branch in Indonesia made a visit to each school and concluded that the school-running orientation and infrastructure conditions of Jakarta State Polytechnic (JSP) can meet the requirements of school-enterprise cooperation. In order to further implement the cooperation, on the morning of July 8, LVTC held an online meeting for cooperation with relevant leaders of LiuGong and Jakarta State Polytechnic in Indonesia. Mr. Yudil Chatim, representative of Indonesian Ministry of Education, Mr. Dewi, Vice President of Development Cooperation Office of Jakarta State Polytechnic, Mr. Lin Long, Deputy General Manager of LiuGong's branch in Indonesia, Mr. Wei Linhua, Director of Office of International Exchange of LVTC and Mr. Wu Xing, Dean of School of Automotive Engineering attended the meeting.

At the meeting, Wei Linhua proposed a cooperation model and a promotion plan, on which the three parties exchanged views. The three parties reached a consensus to cooperate with a goal of building an Indonesian first-class professional training center for Engineering Machinery and applying for China Luban Workshop Project based on that center. Jakarta State Polytechnic in Indonesia will provide a training site of 1,000 square meters. LiuGong will provide internships and jobs, and invest equipment with LVTC to jointly take charge of teacher training and student certification. The project implementation will be started by signing the MOU to promote the rapid realization of cooperation.

This meeting marked the "Going Global" collaboration between LVTC and LiuGong. After successfully exploring different models of operating school overseas through school-enterprise cooperation in Saudi Arabia and Thailand, it will bear fruit in Indonesia again. This cooperation is not only the replication of "LiuGong - LVTC Global Customer Experience Center" and "Liugong–LVTC International Craftsman College of Thailand" in Indonesia, but also the further upgrading exploration of overseas school running through school-enterprise cooperation with "Luban Workshop" as the construction target. LVTC will summarize the experience of overseas cooperative education in the early stage, extensively study the national conditions and the development of vocational education in Indonesia, and work out a thorough implementation plan with LiuGong to ensure that the cooperation among them will be stable and far-reaching, and provide an excellent "LVTC case" for vocational education "going global".
