From News Center (Text by Office of International Exchange, Photo by  Zuo Yingzi from Convergence Media Center) LVTC has received a formal letter of authorization by China Education Association for International Exchange(CEAIE) that empowers LVTC to serve as the Thailand-Vietnam country working group of China-ASEAN Vocational Education Association owing to our college's conscientious implementation of international cooperation of education programs in Thailand and Vietnam. We are authorized to organize cooperation on relevant higher vocational colleges in Thailand and Vietnam in a coordinated manner.

Since 2018, China Education Association for International Exchange (CEAIE) rolled out the "China-ASEAN Double Hundred Vocational Schools Strong Cooperation Flagship Program" (hereinafter referred to as the "Double Hundred Program") guided and supported by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchanges of China’s Ministry of Education. It has succeeded in conducting hundreds of cooperation projects and played a leading role in practical cooperation of vocational education, promoting the building of a China-ASEAN community for vocational education. With a view to implementing the initiative of the Joint Statement of the ASEAN-China Special Summit to Commemorate the 30th Anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations, CEAIE planned to establish the China-ASEAN Vocational Education Association (hereinafter referred to as the Association). At the same time, the founding congress of the Association was held during the 2022 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. The Association jointly initiated by CEAIE and SEAMEO VOCTECH under the framework of the "Double Hundred Program", is designed to motivate the initiative and enthusiasm of member units by building a China-ASEAN cooperation platform that can be participated in personnel from politics, schools, industry and enterprises. Additionally, the Association aims to promote the common development of vocational education in China and other countries by sharing and integrating resources and enhance the building of a China-ASEAN community for vocational education, making great contributions to the high-quality and sustainable development of economy and society in regions.

Our college's "Liugong–LVTC Global Customer Experience Center Thailand Branch" and "Liugong-LVTC International Craftsman College of Thailand" obtained the approval of CEAIE this year and were selected into the China-ASEAN Higher Vocational Institutions Featured Cooperation Programs. Our college's programs achieved going global assisted by Liugong Machinery Co., Ltd., and they together conducted practical cooperation with Panyapiwat Institute of Management (PIM). Therefore, our college has won the recognition of the CEAIE and experts for our success in international cooperation. They consider our college is qualified to undertake the Thailand-Vietnam country working group and have ability to conduct relevant work with the CEAIE.

With the mission of serving as Thailand-Vietnam country working group, we will start work in an orderly manner in conformity to the requirements of CEAIE and executive secretariat of Association as scheduled. Meanwhile, our college will be a monitor for the quality in the progress of "Double Hundred Program" in Thailand and Vietnam, organize scientific research on vocational education open to China's members and ASEAN members and enhance the academic exchanges, innovation and transformation of results. In addition, our college will also extend assistance in holding relevant major events including the annual China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week and help organize training and seminars where participants or members can have exchanges in terms of policies, practices and information. LVTC will participate in the program design process and advance the implementation of cooperation programs and action plans. We also shoulder responsibility for seeking new members in conformity with the requirements of the Association.

Our college's leaders placed great emphasis on the work after receiving the letter of authorization issued by CEAIE and urged the personnel of the Office of International Exchange to prepare work in line with plans and requirements of CEAIE. Steady steps should be taken to start the work and deliver a high-quality result to CEAIE. LVTC will scale up efforts to keep close communication with CEAIE, further familiarize ourselves with the national policy and requirements of opening-up in education and complete relevant work with the help of CEAIE. At the same time, strengthening communication with China-ASEAN vocational colleges, industry and enterprises is essential. We will strive to build a cooperation platform for learning and mutual exchanges and resource sharing to enhance efficiency and progress of international cooperation in vocational education.
